MLL Big League Starts May 6
Big League plays from the beginning of May to the end of June.   There are plans for four District 8 teams and seven teams from districts both North and South of Seattle.   Games would be on Tuesday and Thursday nights and double-headers on Sunday.   Travel would be from South Everett to West Seattle.
To play Big League your birthday must fall between 5/1/1989 and 5/1/1993.

Last year we played with 15 players and we never had more than 12 at any game and often had just 9.   This meant that a lot of play time was available to all players.   Last year we were 11-4 before losing our last seven games in a row from June 21st to July 1st due to vacations.

MAGNOLIA LITTLE LEAGUE IS LOOKING FOR UMPIRES

Magnolia Little League is currently looking for umpires, age 12 through adult, to umpire AA, AAA and Majors baseball. It's a fun way to stay involved in the community and to watch some exciting baseball. Magnolia Little League will pay umpires $15 for AA and AAA games, and $20 for a majors baseball game.
Lead baseball umpire Kevin Peterson will conduct an umpire clinic for all interested participants on Tuesday, May 6th at Ray (Bayview) field at 6:30pm..
If you would like to umpire, please RSVP your intention to attend the umpire clinic to bmacgeorge@mwrinc.com

We'll continue to use the http://www.d8umpires.org/ site to schedule umpires for most of the divisions in our league.   While this site is primarily for umpires, it's also a great resource for coaches and parents to keep up with scheduling changes.

Umpire coordinators and umpires will receive training on how the site works. The http://www.d8umpires.org/ site will enable umpires to sign themselves up for games.
