This section of Magnolia Little League's official website is dedicated to:
providing our umpires with the information they need to perform their duties enabling our coaches and fans to request rules interpretations or offer feedback encouraging parents and community members to take a more active role in our league by volunteering to umpire.

Everyone is encouraged to browse these pages and offer comments on how we can improve our level of communication.

Schedules
We'll continue to use the http://www.d8umpires.org/ site to schedule umpires for most of the divisions in our league. While this site is primarily for umpires, it's also a great resource for coaches and parents to keep up with scheduling changes.

Umpire coordinators and umpires will receive training on how the site works. The http://www.d8umpires.org/ site will enable umpires to sign themselves up for games.

Training
There are currently four ways that umpires can receive training in Magnolia Little League.

District Training: This training is sponsored by knowledgeable District 8 umpires. Anyone and everyone interested in umpiring this season should attend as many sessions as possible. Each session covers different topics.
Magnolia Training: We'll schedule at least one training session this year, but you should still try to attend the district trainings.
Library: We'll be developing a library of materials that people can get access to.
Hands-on Training: We'll provide hands-on training on request at lower level games. Get a feel for the field in a stress-free environment.

Youth Umpire Program
The Youth Umpire Program continues to be a big success. We've decided to continue and refine the program. Youths will be again be asked to sign a "contract" that spells out their responsibilities to the league. In return, the league will spell out its responsibilities to the youths.
