Our beloved Raye Field was the location of the inaugural Intermediate 50/70 Division District 8 Tournament.  The Magnolia “199” squad took the best-of-3 series two games to none from a combined Shoreline/Northshore/Woodinville All-Star team.

Excellent team play and powerful pitching performances were the highlights for Magnolia in both games.  Friday, June 14, Magnolia prevailed 7-4 after taking the lead in the 3rd inning.  On Tuesday, June 18, Magnolia lost the coin toss but nothing more as the 199 put up runs early and often for an 11-1 victory.  For what may be this team’s last official Little League game at Raye Field, it was a memorable one.

Magnolia will face the District 4 (Southwest WA) Champion in Vancouver, WA on Saturday, June 29, 9 AM at Fort Vancouver Little League. This year’s Intermediate Tournament will be an 8-team double elimination format with the State Champion advancing to Nogales, AZ for the Regional.
