Baseball Programs

Magnolia Little League is an instructional baseball league focused on learning the game of baseball in a fun atmosphere that promotes Little League values of courage, character and loyalty.

Team uniform of ballcap, jersey, belt and socks are provided by MLL. Each team is issued catcher's gear, bats and helmets. Players may use their own Little League approved bats. Player-owned helmets must have a face guard for levels below Majors.

Baseball pants and glove are required for all players. MLL does have extra gloves and limited sizes of pants that can be borrowed if needed. Cleats are necessary.

Protective cup is mandatory for all boys at all levels.

Team Shop items are optional.

  • Note: The registration system will only allow you to register your child(ren) for programs they are age-eligible for.  In some instances, you may have a choice between levels, such as A/AA or AA/AAA.  If you are unsure what level to register your child for, please ask your coach from the prior season for feedback and/or reach out to discuss the best placement for success in the upcoming season.  In many instances it is beneficial for a player to spend more than one season at a level instead of rushing them into a higher level.

If you have any questions, please reach out to [email protected]

Each level is based on Little League International determined league ages.  If you are unfamiliar with League Age, please see more detail on League Age here.

50/70 Intermediate Baseball
League Age 13

The Intermediate (50/70) offers a transition for players between the standard Little League field size (46-foot pitching distance and 60-foot base paths) to a 50-foot pitching distance and 70-foot base paths). Many of the Junior League rules are used such as runners being permitted to lead off bases, runners may attempt to steal at any time, and allowing an on-deck batter.

MLL will be looking to field 2 Intermediate (50/70) Division team of up to 14 players in 2020. The Intermediate (50/70) Baseball Division, which was a new division introduced by Little League Baseball in 2013 for players league-age 11-13. The season will have 12-15 regular season Little League sanctioned games. MLL would like this team to participate in the post-season District and possibly State Tournaments.

[This is a new team and a new division for Washington State Little League District 8. There are a number of unknowns. There has never been an Intermediate 50/70 team chartered in the district to date. MLL expects there will be 1-4 for 2019. With a low number of Intermediate 50/70 teams in the District 8, MLL expects inter-district play with our neighbor districts. Districts, 9, 7, 2 and 1 all field 3-6 teams each. Travel around the Seattle metropolitan area from Everett to Tacoma and Issaquah to Bainbridge will likely be required. Given the number of unknowns presently, MLL expects there will be schedule challenges and double-headers.]

  • TEAMS: Juniors teams will typically have between 12-14 players.
  • PRACTICES & GAMES: Players will usually have 3 to 4 “events” per week. 3 practices until season begins, then 2-3 games per week (weekday and weekend) and 1-2 practices each week.
